Working with high profile clients at companies such as the experiential marketing agency George P. Johnson, Carina has worked on projects ranging from 30 to 30,000 attendees. Through her work Carina has witnessed first hand the growing desire for her clients to become more sustainable. On the flip side, with over 10 years as a technical production manager, she has also seen the waste post event and the quantities that were skipped or sent to landfill. From her experience volunteering for a number of charities, she is aware of the increasing demand for physical donations and along with her events expertise, combined the supply from one industry with the demand from another, resulting in the co-founding of Event Cycle. The venture helps the event industry implement practical solutions to sustainability challenges while creating a positive social impact and a lasting legacy. She hopes to be able to support the events industry in the transition into a more circular economy and to help those most in need in the process. Carina has also been fundamental in the development of an events industry specific carbon tracking tool which was created as a legacy piece following the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26).
