Michael Funnell joined Barclays in 2008 to take on global responsibility for all relationships with the supplier base within the Travel & Expense function Michael has functional responsibility for the sourcing process, contracting, ongoing supplier management and compliance for all travel related suppliers, including the global airline program, hotels and accommodation, ground transport and M+E. More recently, Michael has taken on responsibility for travel servicing and operations. Michael started his career working in a corporate travel agency in the City of London, before moving into managing travel programs, initially for a small merchant bank, before joining Lehman Brothers as European Travel Manager. Michael’s interests include cycling, football, watersports and golf.
